“Somewhere, something incredible is waiting to be known.” Carl Sagan
How’s your day been? I’m a little bummed summer is over BUT, the good thing about that… is FALL! Pretty excited for fall; college football season, fall colors, fall weather & BOOT SEASON! Yes, I’m so ready for fall. 🙂 Don’t mind this boot lover over here.
One thing I love to do in the fall is go walking. Yep, not jogging, but straight up, good old fashion walking. I like doing it after a good work out or after a long day! It let’s me take in my surroundings and really think about life. I love it! Throw on some headphones & play some good music! It’s so calm & relaxing, at least to me it is!
When I was in Arkansas, I took advantage of those steep hills & went walking with my mom and aunt almost every morning, walking & chatting away! <3
I wore an EXTREMELY comfortable outfit on this morning!
“Be the weirdo who dares to enjoy.” -Elizabeth Gilbert
Hope you had a wonderful weekend. I had a fantastic time visiting family in the beautiful state of Arkansas! It was the perfect getaway & much needed.
This outfit, I just have to share with you!
It’s so much fun to wear! Okay, I know I say that a lot but I really don’t know how else to describe it. Years ago, I never really cared about what I wore; I never let it make me happy. It’s the little things ya’ll! Now if I wear something that I think is cute, I let it make me happy; I let myself feel good! Even if I look like a complete dork, I don’t care! Life’s too short, let the little things make you happy.
This crop top is sold out at the moment! It’s a bestseller at ASOS & they usually restock it. (I’ll keep an eye out for you!) Here is a similar top I like. Love this top too!
Got a great deal on these Jeans during the Nordstrom sale! I also REALLY like these jeans. Both fit so good!
These have got to be the softest pajama pants I own anddddddd they’re petite friendly! I could live in these. They continuously sell out but are usually always restocked. Don’t forget to subscribe to my blog; that way I can let you know when they’re restocked! They’re worth the wait ya’ll.
I hope everyone is having a magnificently, magical Sunday! Today my Sunday will be filled with reading, music & family; the best kind of Sunday in my book!
Side note: recently I discovered an Italian pianist/composer who I’m slowly but surely, becoming obsessed with. Ludovico Einaudi! Look him up if you’re into that kind of stuff! Amazing. The song “Life,” is my favorite. Might have to convince someone to fly to Europe with me to catch one of his concerts. Any takers?!
ANYWAY! On to the good stuff! I think this outfit is so perfect for summer and EXPLORING. I felt like I was on vacation & about to go on an adventure while wearing this, apparently shoe-less!
Random fact: if I’m outside, I LOVE being barefoot. I would say it makes me feel closer to nature but I know that sounds super cheesy, so let’s pretend I didn’t say it! Removing the cheesiness for ya. 😉
Linking everything below!
Please let’s take a moment & recognize my cat (bottom right) looking FREAKED OUT! I can’t stop laughing. Photo bomb!
This is an entry from my journal I wrote a week ago. Sometimes I don’t know who I’m writing to. Some entries it seems like I’m talking to myself, sometimes to God, sometimes to other people. I just write what comes to mind, it’s fun! After some thought I wanted to share what I wrote on that day with you.
“Looking outside, I can’t get over how beautiful today is. God is an amazing painter. The colors are absolutely hypnotizing. I had to just stop what I was doing just to take a moment and be…
One thing I love to do is watch the clouds move across the sky. When’s the last time I did that? Look at the sky. I can’t think about tomorrow or yesterday. Only today. What you have, who you love, who loves you, where you are. Don’t think about where you want to be. Think about the now. Be grateful. Be happy.
Take a deep breath in. Take time to appreciate your surroundings, the Earth & all its wonders. Look at the colors in the sky for a moment. Just simply, be. Life’s too short to be so wrapped up in other things. Will what you’re doing now matter as much once you’re gone? Will it make a difference. Are you doing it for a future that isn’t guaranteed? Take some time & just be present. Come back down to the now and smile. Breathe. Watch the clouds move. Feel the wind. Get out of your head & be present.”
I think I often forget that tomorrow isn’t guaranteed. Often we’re all so focused on the future & it can be devastating missing the present. Be enchanted. Today won’t ever comeback. Sometimes I would stop, take a breath and take in the now, but most of the time… I just didn’t. I would go days w/o noticing a sunset or noticing the wind. The little things.
Let the little things make you smile, like they’re meant to & don’t take one single breath for granted.
Finally, here is a snapshot of what stopped me in my place that day…
I hope today, you take it all in; everything. Have an amazing day ya’ll!
I hope everyone is having an amazingggggg summer so far! We’re melting over here in Texas but honestly… it could be worse, soooo can’t complain! Hey guess what! I’m done with summer classes. YAYYYYYYYYYYYY! This means I’ll be posting twice a week now, and not all fashiony girly stuff I might add. I have some fun stuff in mind. 😉 Stay tuned!
Alright, let’s talk fashion! This romper… [dramatic pause] … IS THE BEST!!
When it comes to fashion, I am all about that CC rule; comfy & cute. These days I haven’t had a lot of luck in that department… but then the clouds opened up. 🙂
TA-DAAAAH. Ok what’s amazing about this romper is that it can be worn lots of different ways! You can crisscross the front or wear it like I am and get crafty with the straps. Ya’ll, this fabric is soooo buttery soft & a little fashion tape goes a longggg way with this.
Dress it up with some wedges & cute jewelry or dress it down with summer sandals & a ponytail; I’ve done both! It also comes in different colors. Find it here! If you sign up for Lulu’s emails you can get 10% off your first order. Spice up your summer!
This is perfect to wear to a summer wedding, a nice dinner, you name it! Dress it up; dress is down. I did hem it up! This dress is pure magic! I have never found a more elegant dress that was this comfortable. Want to feel like a princess? Wear this and let your imagination fly! Let’s all just be princesses for a day, shall we? Find the dress here.
OK, so today is all about quotes. Now, these are not just ANY quotes, these specific quotes work magic. Quotes are everything! Many, voice how we feel or remind us of important things we forget. Put them everywhere, in your house, by your nightstand, on your mirror, everywhere!
Say your favorite ones everyday! Memorize them. One of my English professors in college was constantly quoting Old English books! Fascinating. Quotes are magic & they do something to us. I have over 10 taped to my bathroom mirror. I switch them out but they usually have to do with things I’m struggling with. I read them everyday. I can’t tell you how much they help. It gives you a dose of positivity.
I have this journal where I keep all my favorite quotes, lyrics, poems & my many thoughts on… well, everything. So grab yourself a glass of wine & get ready to ponder the wonderfulness of words! Here are some of my all time favorite, magical quotes. Enjoy!

Wow I had a lot of fun going through my journal! There were SO MANY I wanted to put in here, but lets be honest, you’d be here forever & a year. I really hope you enjoyed this. Now here’s a quote from me to you! “You’re wonderfully made & you’re loved.” MUAH! Thanks for reading!
Until next time,
If you’re new to my blog, WELCOME LOVEEE!!! Allow me to introduce myself! Click here!
I hope everyone is having a fannnntastic day! Did you catch my first post last week!? If not be sure to check it out here! I’ve got some great design ideas & exciting things up my sleeve so stay tuned!
Alright let’s get down to business. The dress. Ok have you ever seen a 10 dollar dress look so cute?! This is a yellow crew neck scalloped hem dress & yep it’s on sale for 10 dollars. Take a look…
Let’s talk about this for a second… I stumbled upon this dress on the SheIn website. I took a risk; ordered it & it fit perfectly! Don’t you just love those moments. This dress can stretch & isn’t the kind of material that clings to your every curve. It’s super comfy! I’ve linked the exact dress above!
Let’s talk accessories! I think yellow and turquoise should just get married. You can find my earrings here and you can find my bracelet ON SALEhere. I’ve had this clutch from Agaci for ages! You can find others I like, here and here.
So I used to avoid wearing the color yellow AT ALL COSTS. Not neon yellow just normal good ole yellow… & yes they’re different! haha I just remember thinking I’d never be able to pull it off. Sighhh. It sucked b/c yellow is such a fun & happy color! I was 100% sure it’d make me look… just bad. (dumb I know) The only thing yellow looked good on was the Sun! haha :]
ANYWAY, years & years go by and nothing yellow EVER finds it’s way into my closet. Lo & behold! UNTIL one fine sunny day, one of my friends wore a yellow top. (DUN DUN DUNNNN) Here’s what came out of my mouth, “ALRIGHT. YOU LOOK AMAZING! IS THAT YELLOW?! I can’t stand next to you.” haha! (Major girl moment) It completely brought out her features & agh! (no words) Of course she looked at me like I was crazy & maybe I was, but you guys… she looked stunning.
Long story short- I finally bought something yellow & have loved wearing yellow ever since. It just makes me happy! Sometimes it’s hard to see beauty in ourselves & we think we can’t “pull off,” something. Here’s how we fix that… who cares. haha WHO CARES!? If you want to wear it, wear it. Life’s too short for that! I hate that it took someone wearing a color I love for me to finally say, “whatever I love this color, I’m wearing it & I don’t care if society says I can’t pull it off!” So hah! Here’s me in yellow. 🙂
Be brave! Throw on some color for summer! Hey… let’s all just add a dash of color to life now shall we? :] I’m all about bright colors. Get ready! See ya next week!
I’m Caroline Burciaga! I am a lifestyle & petite fashion blogger! I’ll be writing about anything and everything. That’s everything from fashion to books, makeup, life, recipes, DIYs, travel adventures, fitness, organizational tips, blogger & vlogger collaborations and more! Don’t be afraid to tell me things you’d like to see! Still trying to get the hang of this so the design and photos will get better! I promise!
I started this blog to start writing again. I used to write stories all the time in college for fun. After graduating I acquired writer’s block and it sucksss! I’m pretty sure some of you writers can relate. I started to write in my journal but it didn’t help. I lost my creativity, my drive & my love of it. I’m hoping this will motivate me to write my little stories again. I’d love to share them with you. I’m excited about this journey and I want to take you with me! Again, I’m new at this so bare with me…
My dream is to one day become a children’s author. It’s a long shot I know, BUT I have faith. Dreams can come true you guys! I hope by this blog motivating me, it’ll also motivate you to do what YOU love!
I graduated from The University of Houston in 2013 with a degree in Communications and a minor in English. I work full time and also recently returned back to school to get a certification & learn more about communication disorders. I’m a busy busy bee, BUT I’ll always make time for the things I love!
Me in a nutshell:
Christ follower, country lover, beach dreamer, avid reader, fantasy writer, travel enthusiast, two-stepper, star chaser, analogy queen, and Texan. I’m a child at heart & a positive thinker! I like to joke a lot & I’m NOT perfect. I can also be VERY sarcastic. [Insert smirk face here] Be prepared! I’m on a mission to be whatever I’m destined to be. Aren’t we all?
Some days I love throwing on heels and a fun dress! Other days I’ll throw on jeans, a T-shirt and cowboy boots! You just never know.
After MUCH consideration, ehemm… I picked the name, “Dreams & Faerie Wings.” Dreams are what drive us and push us, along with other things. I don’t know about you but I’m 25 & I’m already tired of just going through the motions in life. Time to take those dreams off the back burner and pursue them! Am I right or am I right? Life’s what we make it. I could go on and on about this but I’ll stop, for now. [Insert wink here]
I added faerie wings because I wanted to add a touch of my personality and well I have a small obsession with faeries. I know I’m weird but it’s true! You’ll constantly find me reading fantasy books and old Irish tales about them. I know they’re not known to have good reputations in all those old tales but in most of the books I read, they’re absolutely fantastic and I love it! I’ll forever be a fantasy dreamer! Come back soon ya’ll!
